Many Hopes is dedicated to transforming the lives of children in Kenya through comprehensive educational, legal, and developmental programs. Our initiatives in Kenya reflect our commitment to empowering children to overcome adversity and become leaders of positive change in their communities.

In Kenya, we are alerted to cases of sexual abuse by trusted police or community contacts. Our year-round mapping of rural villages identifies children at risk of abuse. When a child is identified, we first ensure they receive medical care at a hospital. We then counsel them through the process of filing a report at the police station, assisting the police and state in collecting evidence for prosecution. We also monitor the case to ensure witnesses and evidence are protected from tampering or bribery.

During their case, children stay in our recovery home, where we provide food, housing, education, legal support, and counseling. Many children also receive new clothes and shoes. After their case concludes, we help reintegrate the child with a family member, supporting the caregiver to ensure the child's continued well-being.

All children in our care are enrolled in local schools. For many, this is their first opportunity to access education, and they might be several years older than their classmates. We support children through their educational journey, all the way to university, and the influence that brings.

The greatest inspiration for each child is meeting someone who was once like them and has gone on to college and a profession. We host internships, visiting days, and an annual career fair to facilitate this. This event is a highlight for the children, featuring speakers from various fields who participate in Q&A sessions about their professions.

We teach all children about their rights under the law, how to recognize and report abuse, and how to pursue justice for themselves and others. We partner with two local organizations to provide mentoring and job and internship opportunities.
